Alessiβs Alessandro M. corkscrew is a playful self-portrait of its creator, designer Alessandro Mendini. The smiling figure is dressed in a bowler hat and colourful clothes. Mendini designed the corkscrew in 2003 as a partner for the immensely popular Anna G. corkscrew, which was released in the 1990s. Alessandro M. is a beloved classic and a delightful addition to any kitchen.
The Alessi Values Collection was launched to celebrate the centennial of the famous Italian design house. The fifth part of the collection is called Hybridisation, which refers to the mixing of different cultures and disciplines. Thatβs why Alessandro Mendiniβs classic corkscrews Anna G. and Alessandro M. have been given new clothes, which are adorned with Mendiniβs playful, vivid pattern Galla Placidia from 1984. The corkscrew comes in a special gift box designed for Alessiβs 100th anniversary.
